Hello there, I’m Taylor.
When I was in high school, my parents bought me a one-channel recording interface so I could record myself playing electric guitar. We didn’t have any recording software, so with a barely functioning demo copy of a now-extinct recording program, I took my first steps into the world of music production. The songs and recordings were…not great. But the experience was glorious. I became hooked, and those little sketches have launched me on a journey that for more than 10 years has involved making music all over these United States.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play guitar all over the country, but the fact that I now work full time in producing and mixing feels like an even greater dream come true. The process of helping to bring new music into the world feels sacred to me. It takes so much vulnerability and community effort to make a great record, and it’s such an honor to be a part of that journey with an artist. My hope is that if you decide to work with me, you’ll get to experience the process with someone who listens well, takes the time to understand your vision, shows high levels of technical skill and creativity, and checks their ego at the door.
My wife, Katie, and I live in sunny Austin, TX, and we love our lives here. If you’re able to make it down for attended mix sessions, we’d love to share all of our favorite spots to eat (um, tacos and BBQ, anyone?) and help you enjoy your visit to the greatest city in the world*. If we’re working long distance, I’ll be sure to send you a picture of my lunch sometime. It’s almost as good.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my site, hear some of my work, and learn more about me! It’s an honor to be considered for a role in bringing your art into the world. No matter who you end up working with, thank you for being a brave enough person to step out and create something new in the world to share with others. I believe that what you do as an artist matters a great deal, even if you can’t see it right now.
I hope to hear from you soon! You can click here to send me an email and I’m happy to tackle any questions you may have.
*I can't prove that Austin is the greatest city in the world, but can you prove that it's not? :D
